Reeling in the years from 1987 at the launch of the Irish Lotto is comedy political gold. RTE asked Bertie and Haughey what they would do with the money if they won the lottery.

Some simplistic analysis of recent food price increases in media. Yes, food prices have increased in last 12 months by a little more than general inflation (CPI). However, in last 15 yrs, CPI increased at about 2.5 times the rate of food prices and electricity 10 times.

📹 Watch: I was disappointed to see some departmental officials trying to dictate policy, not implement it last week. It’s Ministers - elected by the people - who should set the agenda, not the civil service.

Question! For the people who are opposed to commercial forestry….particularly commercial conifer forestry. Where is the timber for construction etc gonna come from? Native timber is not gonna supply it!

While you are at it…get them to launch an official probe into how consumer, processor and marketeer demands on food producers has led to cost inflation at farm gate level, weakening farm viability and reducing farm output…

If I won the 250 million I'd go to Center Parcs in Longford for a full week, including breakfast. And if I had any change left over I'd buy a 2012 Toyota Avensis #EuroMillions
