Key findings from our Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) Fiji SUP-Pacific project have now been published. We found that 75% of adults surveyed had experienced food insecurity in the past 12 months. Many had taken action to increase food security by starting home gardens. georgeinstitute.org/more-action-is…

Our colleagues were in Fiji today to hear Hon Dr Ratu Antonio Lalabalavu give the keynote address at the Fiji National University Fiji National University Workshop on capacity building in food policy. Proud to support this event as part of our @NHMRC-funded work to address NCDs in the Pacific.

Great to have the opportunity to speak with Rebecca. L. Root about the diet related burden of NCDs in the Pacific Region and supporting efforts to reduce NCDs by food aid being as nutritious as possible. The George Institute for Global Health theguardian.com/global-develop…
