A brief review of my book #AncientRhetoric and the Style of Paul’s Letters just came out in RQ by James Thompson. He echoes exactly my hope for the book in his final comments: ā€œIt should be an indispensable resource for the exegesis of Paul’s letters.ā€ a.co/d/8HI654N

Church historian in 2500: The zuchetto was originally a skullcap. The first American pope Leo XIV modified the zuchetto to include a large front brim, and this style became adopted by subsequent popes. The stylized SOX means "Successor of Christ" (the X from the Greek Xristos)."

I've not yet seen the NA29 advertized, but the UBS6 is due out in October (2025). Hugh Houghton's new Textual Commentary the end of July. And, the ECM Matthew in December. Our friends at the Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft have been very busy!
