As we all know Browns is a maze of a store. Everyone got lost in the building, not surprising as it is several buildings in one. My friend Amanda Hewitt created this prototype leaflet as part of training to become visual supervisor. It includes the extension, which is Flannels

Good morning. How are you today? I thought I'd share excerpts from Browns of Chester in house magazine. It's only a few pages long. So I'll pick out some gems.

So Browns has a bit of TLC, sort of. All the plants, debris, and loose paintwork has been removed. Roof tiles replaced on the Crypt Chambers building. Had a chat with the workmen. British Land had asked for the work to be done. It's nice to see the original stone under the paint

So do I start a crowdfunding account? If everyone in Chester chips in we might be able to buy the crypt 😁 I should ask Gary Usher for advice.

1st Year Anniversary of Browns of Chester / Debenhams closing. Chester is still evolving and yet Browns is still frozen in time. I hope there is a positive future for the store. The city desperately needs more retail, so why not reopen Browns of Chester as an independent shop.

Thought I'd post here for once. I keep coming across random items from Browns. This one is an ashtray depicting The Crypt. The table it's sat upon in my cottage is actually from the Managers office when the were having a clear out a few years ago.

3 years today this iconic building closed. Time for her to reopen ❤️

You can never have too many chimneys. That explains why I kept finding fireplaces.
