Fantastic week at BL27SU SPring-8 beamline, exploring interesting next-generation cathode materials with an amazing team and beamline scientist! PeterBruceGroupOxford CATMAT-Faraday Institution Cathodes Project

Congratulations, Greg! solbat-faraday Oxford Materials

Congratulations to Sir Peter on being elected a member of the Leopoldina, German National Academy of Sciences. Election to membership of the Leopoldina is considered to be the highest academic honour awarded by an institution in Germany. leopoldina.org/en/leopoldina-… Oxford Materials

Looking forward to hearing PeterBruceGroupOxford deliver his presentation "Solid state batteries, a challenge of interfaces" Cell Symposia #CSElectricvehicles24. Submit your abstract before Friday for a chance to join him hubs.li/Q02mvZpK0

Oxygen redox cathodes deliver higher energy densities than transition metal redox cathodes but exhibit voltage fade on cycling. Voltage fade is shown to arise from a reduction in O2−/O2 redox process reversibility and O2 loss. Robert House PeterBruceGroupOxford go.nature.com/3wPiz32

📢Let us present one of our guest speakers Peter Bruce PeterBruceGroupOxford who is presenting "#Lithium -rich layered and disordered rocksalt #cathodes the role of oxygen #redox" at our annual conference 🔋🧂💡 Read more here, meetbattery2030.eu/programme/

We are very excited about this special session! Ollie Thomas of this department will be a member the panel, discussing these important and topical themes - 2pm, Monday 13 May (YouTube and LinkedIn) - details below. #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MHAW24 MPLSOxford

In Joule, Bingkun Hu, James Marrow (James Marrow), Peter Bruce (PeterBruceGroupOxford), and colleagues reduced lithium dendrite cracks in solid electrolytes — which cause solid-state batteries to fail — by deflecting them at layer interfaces. cell.com/joule/fulltext…

Time is ticking! 📷 Less than two weeks remain to apply for the graduate Ellison Scholars Programme - deadline is September 30th! Don’t wait - get started on your application today - eit.org/ellisonscholar… Scholars receive a full scholarship to the University of Oxford while

Great work by Diamond Light Source, University of Oxford & our CATMAT-Faraday Institution Cathodes Project project on uncovering the cause of voltage fade in lithium-rich battery cathodes. Important insights for next-gen battery chemistry! Read more: lnkd.in/eG6TGh68 #BatteryTech #EnergyStorage

Group members have been at ESRF BM28-XMaS beamline carrying out XANES and EXAFS measurements on cathode materials for next-generation batteries. Big thanks to the supportive beamline scientists. XMaS Beamline European Synchrotron
