1 week in #portugal🇵🇹 for an IUFRO forest health conference and one week for whirlwind vacation roadtrip made a great start to #sabbatical, but we had to say arrivederci and spread out wings for #italy🇮🇹 instagram.com/p/Ci3bHqfobdy/…

Solid advice. I would add that grad school is about balance. Spend adequate time on courses, but also pour yourself into your research. Sometimes this will eat into your "fun time", but grad school will require sacrifices. BUT maintain enough free time for phys/mental health too!

It was a beautiful but quick stay in Germany 🇩🇪 (and we also visited France 🇫🇷 one weekend!). Now, on to the next (but final) adventure before we head home. #sabbatical instagram.com/p/Clvy4gDIAJ8/…
