Monday, Jan. 24 is a PA day for all elementary students, including students in balanced calendar schools (Tony Pontes, Roberta Bondar and Ray Lawson public schools). Classes for secondary schools on Jan. 24 will run as usual.

September 30 marks the #NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation. Let's honour the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities, by learning more about their vibrant cultures and listening to their stories.

Students shared a song both in English and Cree as we recognized #OrangeShirtDay.

The Peel District School Board recognizes October as Islamic Heritage Month and the significant contributions and achievements of Muslim Canadians and communities throughout the world.

Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month recognizes the rich contributions of Hispanic/Latinx Canadians to our social, economic, political and multicultural fabric. It is an opportunity to celebrate and educate generations about the achievements and contributions of Hispanic/Latinx people.
