From a high school drop out and a janitor at McDonalds to a Cardiothoracic Surgeon: There’s a place for unrelenting hard work in this country.

Becoming a heart surgeon was hard. I do so as I reflect on how drastically my environment has changed around me. Growing up as a little boy in Cameroon, it was daring just to dream I'd find myself in a position to simply be alive at this stage, let alone seek to accomplish more.
