This morning IDA Ireland published its 2023 mid-year #results. In the first half of the year, 139 investments were won, creating 12,072 new jobs. 52 were new name or first-time investments, while 67 (48%) of the 139 investments went to regional locations.

It’s been a busy two days in Toronto meeting 🇨🇦 & 🇮🇪companies. Canada is an important trading partner for Ireland: 65 Canadian companies employ over 8000 people in Ireland & it is the 9th largest export market for Irish companies

The past few days has focussed on building upon the recent success of Irish business and creating further opportunities for investment into Ireland and for Irish companies exporting to Canada.

My sincere thanks to the Enterprise Ireland, Canada & IDA Ireland Canada & Consulate General of Ireland in Toronto teams who work day in day out flying the flag for Ireland here in Canada. It’s been a great week & clearly demonstrates the huge potential for greater trade links between our two countries
