Earlier this morning Members of Local 1580 gathered at the Town's Cemeteries to place flags at the gravesites of our retired members. Tomorrow is Firefighter Memorial Sunday. We gather at Station 2 for a ceremony to honor our past members, both retired & those who have passed on.

Field Transfusion #23 We have completed another Transfusion with the Walpole Fire Dept. We were dispatched for an elderly patient who suffered a serious leg injury. A tourniquet was applied and the FTP from Canton Fire responded. The patient was transported to a Boston Trauma Center

Today is Firefighter Memorial Sunday. We honored our retired members and the retired members who have passed away. Our ceremony was held at Station 2.

If your traveling on Neponset Street this morning, don't be alarmed by the fire trucks at 399 Neponset Street. We are doing some training at this location.

Both Stations are empty. We have received 3 medical emergencies in a 2 minute span. We are utilizing the on duty crews, and a mutual aid ambulance from Stoughton Fire Fighters Local 1512 to assist us. We are recalling off duty firefighters to cover Station 1.

On Friday FF Pendergast and FF Connor took Ladder 2 to assist the Galvin Middle School with their Egg Drop Project. Out of 18 egg drops, 15 were successfully dropped without damage! A 83.33% success rate! There was plenty of enthusiasm from the students and staff!!

We're experiencing a high call volume. 5 calls in 20 mins. 2 medicals, 1 mutual aid call, a public assist, & a Transfusion activation. We are handling the calls w/ the on duty crews as well as mutual aid ambulances. We have also recalled off duty firefighters to cover Station 1.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the firefighters in Idaho after the senseless shootings at the brush fires.

Today's working group is using 399 Neponset Street again to train on basic hose advancement into a structure.

We are currently working an incident on Foundry Lane. A patient with a fall and a resulting head injury. Boston MedFlight responding to the landing zone at Blue Hills Regional High School. Please avoid the area.

Transfusion 25 - This morning the BTU was req by Brockton Fire/Brewster Amb. Several people were shot. Pts went to both local hospitals as well as Boston. We intercepted Brewster @ Rt24/Rt93. PT received 1 Unit of Blood enroute and was in stable condition upon arrival in Boston.
