The first publication of my DPhil is out now! This review article provides the rationale for the experimental work of my DPhil. I hope to see correlate of protection investigation being more frequently included in studies involving animal challenge models! Thread and link👇

Myself and the other PhD students in Carroll Lab (Caolann Brady, Grace Hood and Hannah) will be debuting a public engagement project we’ve been working on at this event! It’s called ‘Pandemics: The Unanswered Questions’ and is funded by Reuben College, Oxford and Pandemic Sciences Institute

New paper out nature - why are males more vulnerable to severe infections (ex acute #COVID), while females suffer more from autoimmunity (SLE, MS etc and also #LongCovid)? sex chromosomes or hormones? Here we studied adaptation of human immune systems to gender-affirming
