London Capital Ring @Ramblers_London @innerlondonramb Took advantage of the beautiful weather to tackle Segment 9 of the Capital Ring, joined by my parents dog, Vinnie (a very good boy)! A beautiful walk along the Grand Union canal, followed by some stunning views from Harrow on the Hill. Feeling like I’m in the home stretch now.

Capital Ring A heads up for anyone tackling Section 15 Beckton to Woolwich...the lock gates at point 37 are still locked and the alternative route has also been blocked. Suggest heading right to the Steve Redgrave Bridge from point 31 and rejoining around point 41

For #FingerpostFriday, here's one from Elthorne Waterside by the Grand Union Canal in #BrentRiverPark. At this point, a loop of the River Brent winds away from the canal around Osterley Island. Sometimes cormorants can be spotted diving for fish here.

London Capital Ring @Ramblers_London @innerlondonramb Autumn vibes were out in full force today on Segment 10 of the Capital Ring. Incredibly muddy but the stunning views and serenity of Brent Reservoir more than made up for it. Getting to see the city change with the seasons has been a highlight of this walk.

London Capital Ring @Ramblers_London @innerlondonramb Capital Ring Took advantage of the dry-ish autumn weather to tick Segment 11 of the London Capital Ring off the list. A relatively mundane start which sees you following the North Circular, but wraps up strong in Highgate Woods which always looks stunning at this time of year.

London Capital Ring @Ramblers_London @innerlondonramb Capital Ring Took advantage of an afternoon of dog sitting to stroll along Segment 12 of the London Capital Ring which I think might be one of the highlights of the walk so far. Parkland Walk Nature Reserve, Finsbury Park & Abney Park made for a perfect autumnal stroll.

A bottle of shoe-stones. Memories of #walking and paths. Perhaps uncomfortable when picked up, now they make me think of Thames Path National Trail, London's other rivers, the Capital Ring, London Loop & the thousands of interesting parts of #London I've found for myself. #LoveLondonWalkLondon
