1/2 Our JACC article on the limitations of revascularization as an endpoint in clinical trials. Unlike D/MI/CVA, revasc doesn’t just “happen” – it must be ordered and performed, introducing indication bias.

2/2 Health status deterioration (severity of recurrent symptoms) is much worse before repeat revasc is considered after CABG than PCI. And ds progression after CABG leads to few available targets (in contrast to in-stent restenosis).
