Very fruitful meeting today with the CEO of the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF) Karen McDonald Gayle. On the margins of the United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) in Nice, France, we discussed opportunities to work together to strengthen multilateral ocean governance

On the final day of #UNOC3, Curaçao expressed its intention to sign the Actioning Blue: Caribbean 30x30 Vision for the Ocean declaration. The CBF also joined key talks on ocean equity and finance for SIDS. A strong close to a milestone week for Caribbean ocean action.

Ahead of #UNOC3, CBF’s Tadzio Bervoets shared insights at the Open Ocean Science Forum & La Baleine Public Oceans Forum—spotlighting our work on the Caribbean blue economy initiatives and regional coral reef resilience through parametric insurance.
