Can’t wait to return to Kings Place this week!

‘a defining choral masterwork of our era’ (ClassicalMusic Daily), we perform Kaija Saariaho’s ‘Reconnaissance’ TOMORROW 6pm Kings Place. In this section she asks the singers to shake their heads vigorously to affect the sound. @RiotEns #kaijasaariaho Finnish Embassy UK

Traversing the musical cosmos with The Carice Singers and @RiotEns in their superb tribute to Kaija Saariaho at Kings Place tonight, including her transcendent ‘Reconnaissance’ and music by Lotta Wennäkoski and Jonathan Harvey. Exquisite, bold programming that should be heard again.

Berio’s ‘Cries of London’ Spitalfields Music next Tuesday — we’re still working on our interpretation…

spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk/events/the-car… The fantastic The Carice Singers performing Berio’s ‘Cries of London’ alongside new works by Cheltenham Academy Composers. Please come to what promises to be a fantastic night at Spitalfields Music Festival. Tuesday 2nd July, 8pm.

East London by night — walk home from Spitalfields Music Festival (Spitalfields Music) with fabulous The Carice Singers

Outstanding singing from The Carice Singers in tonight’s Lichfield Festival concert in Lichfield Cathedral. A beautiful programme, including many works not known to me. What a joy though to hear the Choral Hymns from Rig Veda, one of those bucket list pieces for me!

Always a joy to feature in the #ChoralChihuahua podcast! As it happens, Robert Hollingworth, we don’t expect to keep a straight face while singing that, and neither would we expect the audience to while listening! #partsongs #johnireland #moeran

This afternoon in PMQs, John Slinger MP stressed the importance of music education and asked the Prime Minister to invest in music and creatives subjects so that they are accessible for all children. Hear the question and the PM's response👇
