Yes we're all sick of COVID-19 and most of us are living as if it doesn't exist; but it's still going regardless - these 2024 stats are pretty crazy: - total mortality 2% higher than predicted - COVID-19 mortality 70% higher than predicted - 5 COVID-19 deaths for every flu death

Last paper for 2024 - editorial summarising a decade of research on "heart age", as context for a new analysis of heart age vs CVD risk with a huge NZ dataset. Key point: heart age is good for awareness, but not shared decision making. heart.bmj.com/content/early/โ€ฆ
