We represented the undergraduate Changing Oceans Edinburgh group to present our research on coral recovery! Excited for future research to come from this partnership

This year I was accepted for an exchange year with University of Sydney! I have finally arrived and am extremely excited for opportunities to discover and research the incredible ecosystems Australia has to offer!

Currently working towards divemaster, and diving around Sydney. On a recent night dive, we spotted two lovely cuttlefish and countless seahorses. Many of the animals and plants were growing along the netting, a perfect display of artificial structures becoming habitats.

After finally finishing my PADI Divemaster certification I got to enjoy free-diving with some of Sydney’s Giant Cuttlefish. Aggregations in southern Australia during mating season are hotspots in autumn, but even in Sydney we can admire these cephalopods in action!
