Signed up for a sprint triathlon tomorrow, which sounded like a great idea 6 weeks ago. However, I haven’t been on my bike in a year…

Did it! First postpartum race and somehow managed the fastest run in my age group (8:22 pace for a 5K-nothing insane). It felt so good to push myself again! I do love a good low key sprint Tri.

No power all day (it’s still out as I type this). Schools and daycare were closed. Grateful for some extra time with this little dude.

Power is still off, but my husband is awesome and encouraged me to stick to my original weekend plan. So, this morning I guided my first race postpartum. Joe and I did a half marathon in Davidson. Felt so good to be back!

Just spent the last four hours driving around with Coalition for the Homeless, feeding hungry New Yorkers. Wow. What incredible work these volunteers do. Talk about a perspective shifting evening.

I guided a visually impaired friend through the NYC Marathon yesterday. I’m still processing my thoughts after the race, but I wanted to share our finish line photo. There’s no better feeling in the world.

My 5 year old tried (and loved) two new foods last night. I’ve never felt a bigger high.

Walked into my mom’s apartment (assisted living) and saw a pudding cup, unopened, but punctured with a fork. Clearly, mom had squeezed it as hard as she could and tried to think of ways to open the purring, to no avail. It’s the little things that just destroy me.

This is what the market looked like 5 years ago today. I saw a post in a mom’s group asking if she should go to cash last week. This is why people need advisors. Imagine if you’d gone to cash on 3/16/20?

Not sure if I’m more proud of the fact that I threw an excellent bday party for my 6 year old yesterday or that I woke up and guided 20 miles the day after. Both were challenging! Also, our coordinated outfits in the pic below were unplanned!
