Been writing weird shit. Haven’t been on submittable in over a year. People don’t need MFAs to be writers. But I’m so grateful for this new connection to my art that my MFA has given me. I feel more like a Writer™ now than when I published before. How fucking cool!

This past semester I took a novel writing class. Our prof brought in a guest speaker who has a book coming out about a Russian family living in isolation in the Siberian wilderness. This is her debut novel. Will she have to pull it too?
