Architect Albert Nelson Bromley built this beautiful store in Nottingham between 1902 and 1905. ✨ It might be the first use of an Art Nouveau design on a shop front in England. Several original cast-iron columns and capitals can still be seen in the Grade II* listed building.

Where is your nearest pillbox? 🤔 These small fortified structures were strategically installed to protect beaches and waterways that were vulnerable to invasion. Many were made of concrete and fitted with loopholes where weapons could be fired from.

Liverpool might have it's Metropolitan Cathedral but Rochdale has the chapel at Hopwood Hall. Also designed by Frederick Gibberd. Historic England upgraded the Cathedral's listing to Grade l this week and the listing of Hopwood Hall Chapel was also enhanced.
