Updated my usual Darth Vader costume yesterday with a Mickey ears in honor of my current visit UF Levin College of Law. Pierson made an appearance as the final Deals guest speaker of the semester (dressed as my loyal steed, a TIE fighter).

It was wonderful to present a new project at the ILEP/Penn Journal of Biz Law symposium University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in honor of the great Jill Fisch. Thanks to amiazad for this selfie. Jill said that I “look like [my] beagle” in this pic. Beagle pic for comparison—no lie detected.

Some of my UF Levin College of Law Deals students made friendship bracelets based on class themes (and recurring class jokes, and their Taylor Swift-themed final presentation)! I want everyone to note that they made a bracelet that says MOLK (front of pic) for UF’s fave biz law prof, Peter Molk.

Excited to share my new article on SSRN, analyzing the evolving landscape of corporate policy customization and how external enforcement plays a key role in shaping internal compliance strategies. papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cf… Grateful to UC Davis Law Review for their excellent edits!

Happy to have this out in the world. Small courts matter - a lot. Thanks to the California Law Review editors for their work in bringing this to print.

It was a delight to chat with Greg Shill’s Corporate Governance & Control seminar Iowa Law yesterday about Purpose & Nonprofit Enterprise (co-authored with Dorothy Lund). Sadly no Webster the Duck🦆 cameo (you have to be an OG Greg fan to get this ref) but still fun.

We’re taking Purpose & Nonprofit Enterprise on the road! Just wrapped up a very productive & lovely workshop Duke Law; Dorothy Lund presenting tomorrow Columbia Law School. Incredible comments and weather; BEST company. linili Emilie Aguirre
