This morning, we joined CCITNYC for a #PeersNotPolice rally on the steps of City Hall! Today’s rally called for a community-based crisis response system led by peers not police.

When police respond to mental health crises, those who need help are often subject to use of force, arrest, incarceration, and even death. We must support the alternative response models that don't solely rely on law enforcement for New Yorkers most in need of mental healthcare.
