This pic is more often used to point to the ineffable beauty of life, but applies to words like “war” as well. Language can be twisted, and is. It’s easier to change the meaning of the word (indeed, what law does constantly) than to address the underlying cost of violent acts.

It’s both. You don’t have the natural liberty to initiate violence, AND you have the natural liberty to own tools to respond to those who act violently. Telling someone else where their liberty is centered is a tell that your legislator has spoiled and needs replacing.

Capitalism is a socioeconomic system where people are free to exchange Value + the proper role of governance is accountability when consent is violated. Capitalism results in govt insofar as people take action when violence is initiated or wealth is diminished by force or fraud.

There is no role for government in managing or funding journalism. Spending 10 years collecting paychecks via unconsenting persons is not something to be proud of. News serves a vital purpose, but even the best journalists don’t get to use force and theft to make it happen.
