I was thrilled to talk about cities leading on climate solutions at #dcclimateweek this morning. Cities like Phoenix & DC are building climate resilient infrastructure but they can’t do it alone, it takes strong federal partners like U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor

I loved catching up with City of Greensboro Mayor Mayor Nancy Vaughan and city staff today at the NLC office, talking about infrastructure, economic development and housing. It is always great to see our member cities when they're in DC for meetings on the Hill!

I was thrilled to join Alabama League of Municipalities for their annual convention and 90th anniversary celebration in Huntsville this week. For 9 nine decades the League has been an incredible advocate for all of Alabama's cities and towns and a great partner to NLC.

I was saddened to hear the news of Rep Rep. Gerry Connolly's passing. He was a dedicated local leader and an incredible advocate for local governments while in Congress. His leadership will be missed by many. nlc.org/post/2025/05/2…

I was thrilled to participate in a fireside chat with Georgia Cities Exec Dir Larry Hanson this morning to discuss legislative priorities at their annual convention. We have a lot to accomplish, but with partners like the Georgia Municipal Association, I know we will reach them!

Today, on the Fourth of July, hear from NLC CEO and Executive Director Clarence Anthony as he pauses to reflect on the state of the country and the role of local leaders in this moment.

"Local leaders drive the same roads as our constituents every day.” Today, Mayor Kate Gallego of City of Phoenix, AZ testified before the Senate Environment & Public Works Committee, urging Congress to invest more directly in local governments and MPOs in the upcoming surface

Today, National League of Cities celebrates our second annual Arts & Health Day! 🎨 On this day, we’re reminded of how the arts contributes to the physical and mental wellbeing of residents in cities, towns and villages. 🌆
