Awesome day introducing our ongoing work to Florida blueberry growers Florida Blueberry Growers Association

First time looking at a blueberry bud through a CT-scan. I’m looking forward to sharing our research and more CT images in a upcoming publication! Ed Stanley Gerardo Nunez

📢Congrats to Martin Zapien! His paper related to the work he conducted at UFIFAS_IndianRiverREC for his MSc in UF/IFAS Horticultural Sciences has been published in Horticulturae MDPI! More information about the paper can be found here: mdpi.com/2311-7524/8/11… 🍊🍊🍊

Excited to share the final prototype for our root observation window, which will be used to observe & analyze blueberry roots right in the field! The removable acrylic window allows for sampling of roots without excising them from the plant. Gerardo Nunez

“Averages aren’t everything” terrific talk by Josh Vander Weide 🫐🍓 at the UF/IFAS Horticultural Sciences seminar series.

Blueberry farming is resource intensive... but maybe it does not have to be? In our recent article, we explored using grafted plants to produce 🫐 in a low-input system. This work was led by Cecilia Rubert Heller and partially supported by Southern SARE

My fellow grad student Cecilia Rubert Heller is setting the baselines to develop more resilient blueberry growing systems. Check it out! 🫐

It was great to meet with PPSystem's at the #ASHS20223 and discuss about the important research we are doing using the #CIRAS!
