✅ Small businesses already have enough on their plate. Tracking employees’ tips for WorkSafeBC premiums wastes time they simply don’t have. 📋 Gratuities aren’t business revenue. Stop the red tape and let businesses focus on serving customers, growing, and creating jobs. #bcpoli

I've heard confusion regarding WorkSafeBC’s rate-setting announcement this week. It is misleading. It claims that WorkSafeBC could have raised rates but chose not to—this is not a rebate! Employers will not see any cash rebates. WorkSafeBC's rate-setting announcement does not

I just finished speaking to Vancouver Council in support of extended hours for liquor licensees. CFIB - British Columbia supports this timely and practical step, especially as the city prepares to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup and welcome visitors from around the world. #vanpoli

🚨⚽️ FIFA rules could sideline Vancouver’s small businesses during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. CFIB’s Ryan Mitton joined Mike Smyth on CKNW to break it down and explain why City of Vancouver needs to act. Listen here 👇

Good news for bars, restaurants & nightclubs! 🍻 Extended liquor hours give small businesses the flexibility they’ve been asking for. 🗣️ Glad to have shared CFIB member feedback with Mayor & Council yesterday. #vanpoli

Small businesses are expecting some of these tariff revenues to be returned to them to insulate the impact of this trade battle.
