Little's share of the vote has dropped significantly in recent updates. He's down to 55.3%. Was once over 60%. He's the projected winner, but it's looking like it won't be as decisive as it first appeared.

In Canyon County, Little edged McGeachin by 5 points, Giddings and Moon won, Labrador smashed Wasden and Durst won. In Ada, Little won by 33 points, Bedke by 25 (over Giddings), McGrane by 25 (over Moon), Wasden by 2.3 -- and Durst was third.

Canyon final numbers: Little wins by 12 points, Bedke won by 4, McGrane by 1, Labrador by 15 - and Durst won. So not as drastic as it looked a few minutes ago, but still a big difference between Canyon and Ada - roughly 21 points.

The AG race is no longer close, with Labrador up 50-40 ... while the secretary of state race is tightening. Now 46-39 McGrane over Moon.

Angela Palermo (Angela Palermo) of Hagerman and the University of Idaho starts Monday as our business/public health reporter. Always cool to add someone who grew up in Idaho to our newsroom!

Last week, we opened the new Idaho Statesman newsroom. We spent 48 years in our last one - so just a little pressure to pick the right spot. idahostatesman.com/news/business/…

Important reporting from the great Nicole Blanchard today on Idaho's appeal to extremists. It's a subscriber exclusive - because our subscribers are the people who make this work possible (thank you!). idahostatesman.com/news/northwest…

Thrilled to add another Idahoan to our staff - Mia Maldonado joins us next week as a breaking news reporter. She's an Idaho native and College of Idaho grad. That gets us back to fully staffed, with 16 reporters, 2 visual journalists, 2 opinion writers covering our community.

We published incredibly important work today from Becca Savransky, who spent months investigating the use of restraints and seclusion on Idaho schoolchildren - and the state's failure to take action years ago. idahostatesman.com/news/local/edu…

We got a cool opportunity to commission a statewide poll through SurveyUSA. We'll be rolling out results throughout the week. We started today with the topic that was the main reason we did this: abortion. idahostatesman.com/news/politics-…
