De novo metalloprotein design go.nature.com/2ZY6Fno A Review article by Matthew J. Chalkley (Matthew Chalkley), Samuel I. Mann (Sam Mann) & William F. DeGrado from UCSF School of Pharmacy UC San Francisco

Great start to 2022- congrats Imran! Check out our work on oxygen-sensing films! ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces

More exciting work from my friends Joseph Derosa and Pablo Garrido Barros in the Peters group Caltech Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (doi.org/10.1021/acs.in…, Inorganic Chemistry, ACS Publications). Their mechanistic insights on electrocatalytic CPET in organic chemistry are helping to lay the groundwork for that field.

Really flattered to see our work highlighted by Caltech . Thanks for sharing and for the nice comments! Great working with Jonas, Joseph Derosa Matthew Chalkley in Caltech Chemistry & Chemical Engineering

Finally online! Unlocking eN2RR with various catalysts at a single operating potential via PCET tandem electrocatalysis. Honored to be a part of this work led by Pablo Garrido Barros (and with Matthew Chalkley!) to earn my Peters lab N2RR merit badge. ⚡️ nature.com/articles/s4158…

Very generous and insightful piece from Professor Siewert (Inke Siewert) highlighting our (Pablo Garrido Barros, Joseph Derosa) recent tandem electrocatalytic nitrogen fixation work (Nature Energy). Thank you! nature.com/articles/s4156…

Very excited to share a project I’ve been working on (w/ Matthew Chalkley) for awhile at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases! We’ve solved a high resolution cryo-EM structure of a Tau PET ligand (GTP-1) bound to AD PHFs. (1/5) TL;DR: GTP-1 stacks along the filament axis biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Really beautiful work! Congrats to you and Pablo Garrido Barros. PCET generated M-H species will definitely have a lot of applications!

Latest paper with my friend Pablo Garrido Barros in Angewandte Chemie. Our finding that irradiation of N2 fixation yields hydrazine led to insight into the pathways of N2 reduction. We suggest the electronic structure of the hydrazido (M-NNH2) determines the product. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
