Yesterday I met the team at Refuge & heard survivors’ share heartbreaking stories. Too many victims of abuse & their children are put at risk in the family courts — a lack of trauma understanding & the presumption of contact is putting lives in danger. This must change.

For the first time in a long time, it doesn’t feel impossible. The VRR pilot, access to sentencing remarks, NC1 - change is happening. There’s still work to do, but the momentum is real. Change feels within reach.
