Together, our lab members contributed 531 km to the 2024 IPMB Academia Sinica (中研院植微所) Virtual Race event (Aug 9-18) for the Team Microbes! It's a fun challenge. I ran for 43.76 km, which is more than my monthly average over the past year.

Really appreciate the hospitality of Makoto MIYATA（宮田真人） Osaka Metropolitan University, Shen-Chian Pei and I will be visiting the "bacterial motility paradise" here for the next 3 weeks to talk about #spiroplasma #mycoplasma research!

Delighted to visit the Laboratory of Plant Pathology at the University of Tokyo UTokyo | 東京大学, a renowned team for #phytoplasma research. Very happy to see Profs. Shigetou Namba & Kensaku Maejima again and to meet other team members.

Thanks to Prof. Kenro Oshima for showing us the exciting #phytoplasma research and the excellent teaching program of life sciences at the Hosei Univ. 法政大学.

Had a great time visiting Takema Fukatsu AIST to discuss #symbiosis & #evolution Very grateful to Osaka Metropolitan University for offering a visiting professorship so I can meet with these outstanding Japanese scientists, and Makoto MIYATA（宮田真人） & Shigeyuki Kakizawa for coordinate my travel.

Before rushing to catch our train, Shen-Chian Pei & I tried to mimic Ryuichi KOGA at the Tsukuba station. Not as good as Tomohito Noda though... Thanks Takema Fukatsu again for the hospitality, it's really a fun visit at AIST to talk about #symbiosis
