#TBT to the Morning Without Child Care What we loved most about MWCC is that it brought together community members from across the state. People took time out of their busy schedules to speak up for something that touches each of us. This is why we do the work we do 🥲

The federal government invests in roads & bridges because they recognize these as essential infrastructure. #Childcare is no different. It's the societal infrastructure that allows parents to work, children to learn, & communities to thrive. #Congress MUST treat it that way!

#Childcare advocacy takes no days off, but let's be real: #summer is all about recharging 🌞 Now's the time to steel ourselves and prepare for the work ahead: making sure the child care promises that were made this spring are fully implemented and reach those who need it most!

The legislative victory we secured is promising, but right now, parents are choosing between working and caring for their children. Providers are closing because they can't afford to stay open. Families are spending more on childcare than housing. Our work isn't finished, CT!
