Could black holes explain the expansion of the Universe? We take a deep dive into new research that implies they could, and discuss possible challenges to the result. And since this is all about black holes, who better to speak to than Dr Becky Smethurst podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pytha…

This really was a deep dive, ranging from the Kerr solutions for spacetime around black holes to General Relativity. It would be convenient if this theory were true, but I think it's fair to say (as Dr Becky Smethurst and the authors agree - spoiler alert!) that the jury's still out!

Do you think the cover of a magazine dictates who reads it? Are female readers attracted by male celebrities, or aren't there enough female STEM celebrities out there? My @cardiffPHYSX project student Jem and I tried to find out Andy Williams RAS Diversity bit.ly/4aR3Sfv

The spiral pattern is fun, though a pure coincidence of time sequence, mass and how the algorithm arranges the black holes. The neutron stars really are starting to get lost now! catalog.cardiffgravity.org/bhbubble #BlackHoleWeek
