No great surprise. Broadcasters were angling for this a good few years ago. Inevitable they will want maximum access to reflect their huge investment. Clubs will increasingly need to condition their players/coaches to be even more media savvy than they already are.

We are also probably a year or two away from the number of US owners exceeding the magic number of 14 in the PL. Once that happens, they'll have the voting power to change things to suit them and pursue greater Americanisation of the game - not necessarily for its betterment.
