Good to be passing Musselburgh on Monday - just at the right time to see the American White-winged Scoter nice and close. (More pics as usual on my cleybirds.com.)

My biggest birding highlight ever! Minding my own business at Harborne Reserve in February 2025 a little bird landed in some trees in front of me. Not quite believing what I was seeing, I just took photo after photo. A beautiful Lesser Spotted Woodpecker! West Midland Bird Club

A windy day in Corfu Sidari with Scopolis Shearwaters at dusk, plenty of red rump swallows and loads of Alpine swifts in Corfu town 😀

Some shots of the presumed returning drake Lesser Scaup, affectionately known as 'Lenny'. It was last seen at Belvide on the 10th January, when it was frozen out. Hopefully a prolonged stay again.

You've heard of 'The Two Ronnies'. Well we have the 'The Two Lennies' 😂 The top two photos are of the first bird to arrive on the 23rd. The bottom two are of the bird that arrived yesterday. Much closer and better light today.

Never seen anything like it. 2 bats. Piperstells? stuck to this Burdock plant. One sadly dead. The other was alive. I managed to peel it off and put in a bat box.

I thought the day was going well when I found my first Great White Egret of the year on the Inland Sea, early morning. But it would soon get a whole lot better when I found: Anglesey’s second Pacific Golden Plover (Wales’s third?) on the Alaw Estuary!
