Another professional body, the Royal College of Pathologists, which represents medical examiners, comes out against the Assisted Suicide Bill This Bill has been a rushed mess Even if you agree with assisted suicide/dying in principle, this is no way to introduce it

Unbelievable. You’ve literally just confirmed today that carers will lose their allowance as soon as PIP benefits stop — worsening already elevated mental anguish for carers, nearly all of whom are also terrified about how to provide dignity to their loved ones without PIP.

Labour MPs will LOVE it when the 'assisted dying' NHS education campaign kicks in in their constituencies in 2029, targeting "all professionals...family members, friends, unpaid carers, and other support organisations and charities". Remember 181 colleagues voted for this!

Frightening that MPs voted for this-we are seeing already from these amendments the future of this bill. We know it will be expanded because the amendments to protect groups including #DisabledPeople were voted down- look at Canada as an example #NotDeadYet DPAC

With Carers Week drawing to a close, and the words from Liz Kendall’s vile and condescending video still echoing in my head, I’ve been reflecting this weekend on my experience as an unpaid carer for my partner. 1/15

Six of the most misleading statements in this article: 1. KL says the bill “goes further than any in the world to ensure decisions are…free from pressure.” Not true. South Australia bars doctors from raising assisted suicide unprompted. Leadbeater has rejected that safeguard.

#KillTheBill #NotDeadYet The 3rd reading of the bill is on Friday 20th June. The MPs will not get to see the final text before they vote, neither will the public or the media Write to your MP today as a matter of urgency. Tell them to vote this bill down and Vote No ❌

#KillTheBill #NotDeadYet The whole bill has been rushed through with little scrunity and concerns brushed aside and opponents opposed concerns ignored and responded to as “noise”. Contact your MP and tell them to listen to disabled people who have serious concerns and vote NO

🚨Big win for disability rights in global financing! The Sevilla Commitment has been formally recommended for adoption at 4th Int. Conference on Financing for Development #FfD4. It marks a major step forward for disability-inclusive financing, after a decade of OPD advocacy

The Government is publishing its disability cuts Bill today - slashing up to £7 BILLION in vital support.   This isn’t about helping disabled people. These cruel cuts will drive 100,000s into poverty. These cuts should have been dropped. Now they should be voted down.

The “welfare reform bill” is out and let’s be clear: this is not reform - it is devastating cuts. Disabled people will be made poorer, sicker, and more isolated as a result. That it is a Labour government causing this misery will be a mark of shame on the party for years to come.

In utter dismay at the Government's benefits bill today. Utterly ridiculous to claim it is supportive to give 3 months additional payments to those having their PIP taken away... and then what? Do we suddenly stop being Disabled?

#NotDeadYet It is devastating to see a majority of 23 votes mean that the Assisted Dying Bill has passed in the House of Commons. It’s clear to us as disabled people the only assistance we will get going forwards is assistance to die
