The Tek Cyear uh de Root Festival is on Nov 4 at Commonhouse Aleworks as part of Charleston Beer Week. It's an evening of deliberate conversation, bringing together Gullah Geechee food vendors, artists, & leaders, as well as Charleston brewers to share history, experiences, and hopes.
It will also feature a new collab beer from Edmund's Oast, Jamaal and Good Beer Hunting. 8 and All is part of our effort to credit 15 unidentified Black brewery workers enslaved by Edmund Egan in the 1770s. Egan got credit for their work for 240+ years. Let's change that.
