It was a great pleasure to meet again with Laila Gad the UNICEF Representative in Liberia. I extended the warm greetings from the team UNICEF Office to the African Union & ECA in Addis Ababa. Congratulations to the entire team on an successful CHW Symposium Liberia.


What a great surprise – and a fitting ending to #CHWSymposium2023. After the #MonroviaCalltoAction was read, VP Jewel Howard Taylor announced a $1.8M domestic commitment to fund the National Community Health Assistant Program. Thank you from Last Mile Health and the whole coalition.

Community health workers are the backbone of health systems in #Africa & beyond, yet they lack proper protection & support. At the opening of the CHW Symposium Liberia Symposium, I called for making #CHWs a priority in budget & policy decisions & for further support for Africa Frontline First.
