WOOLSTON EYES – Cover for the 2024 Annual Report, should be hitting members ‘in boxes’ in the near future, watercolour on Arches paper, a prolific year for Yellow-browed Warblers at the site, prompted me to use this species as its one that may not turn up in the future.

These Brown Fish Owls from Oymapinar Baraji, Türkiye ranks up there alongside Golden Nightjar and Andalusian Hemipode as my highlights in the WP so far. Such a mythical species. Can’t believe I’ve finally seen them! 🇹🇷🐟🦉 This paper is worth a read: avibirds.com/wp-content/upl…

A lovely evening guiding John and Patty from the United States around the Great south wall and south Dublin bay. A very enjoyable evenings birding. Great to watch the antics of many black guillemots and see a good number of fledged common terns on the wing! BirdWatch Ireland
