Okay, very happy with the results, but the fact that Best Book and Score of a Musical weren't in the main telecast is a TRAVESTY. Fix that, people!!!

I loved THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME. My favorite Anderson since MOONRISE KINGDOM. Felt like Preston Sturges crossed with Powell & Pressburger. And now I want Anderson's next film to star Del Toro as a Sturges-like writer-director.

Interesting couple of quotes from a Deadline piece w/ the creators of the new CAT IN THE HAT movie. First, Seuss wrote in anapestic tetrameter, not iambic pentameter. Secondly, I promise you can write a Seuss movie emulating his meter without getting help from software. Yeesh.

15 years ago DESPICABLE ME was released and changed my life. Expectations were relatively low, Illumination was a brand new studio...but after the first weekend it was clear something special was happening. Will never forget my first time seeing it with an audience. Pure joy. ♥️
