The #IFD once again teamed up with Citizens Energy Group to paint the town teal & raise money for a good cause. #IFDRecruitClass90 spent this morning, cleaning & re-painting Citizens-owned hydrants in the IFD Service District.  The event dubbed “Badges for Burn Camp” is part of

Citizens provided all of the paint, brushes and supplies needed from their current inventory and comes at no cost to either the department, taxpayers or customers. Citizens identified over 300 hydrants for today’s event. “Badges for Burn Camp” raises money to send burn survivors

to Hoosier Burn Camp This is the 9th hydrant painting event since the inaugural occurred in 2015. The first 8 efforts, have raised over $90,000, which has been annually donated to Hoosier Burn Camp, on behalf of IFD, through the Citizens Energy partnership.

Citizens joined forces with Frank’s Livery, Friends of the White River, and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for the second of five seasonal cleanups. This time, we focused on Fall Creek. We pulled 2,000 pounds of trash from the water and surrounding areas. Photos by Daniel Woody

🚧 Road Closures: W Raymond St. and S Harding St. Sewer construction will require a full closure of W Raymond Street on or after July 7. On or after July 9, crews will begin work just south of Hudnut Boulevard, fully closing S Harding Street.
