This #JAHM we honor Alexander Selinger and his wife, Marianne. Alexander opened Café Eclair in 1939, which became a haven for refugees from Nazi Europe. From Leo Baeck Institute – New York | Berlin is a photo of Jackie Kennedy & Sen. Pat Moynihan with a cake from Café Eclair.

Center for Jewish History Among those who participated in the symposium were David Wolpe, Deborah E. Lipstadt, Leon Wieseltier and Bill Ackman. Haley Cohen reports: jewishinsider.com/2025/05/center…

Thank you to Simon Schama, Tina Brown, and everyone who joined us for a powerful evening. Schama’s courageous exploration of Holocaust history reminds us that remembrance is an urgent act. We are grateful for his voice, and for yours. #NeverForget
