On June 7, a blessing ceremony was held at Wat Damnak, Siem Reap. It honored the late Dr. Mary Ellen Lane and Dr. Benny Widyono. The event concluded the board meeting, with #CKS leadership, board members, and staff receiving blessings in a moment of remembrance and renewal.

On June 10, CKS held its Annual Reception, marking the launch of the Khmer edition of Svay. Presided over by the Chairman and President, the event brought together Board Directors, members, and representatives from ministries, embassies, universities, and research institutions.

CKS mourns the loss of Professor Anthony Reid, an eminent historian of Southeast Asia, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 85. His work shaped the field and inspired scholars globally. We extend condolences to his family and colleagues.

CKS welcomes Summer Communications Intern Tha Dah Mwee Kyet, a Cornell sophomore majoring in Government. From June 20 to August 15, 2025, Tha will support outreach efforts at our Siem Reap HQ through communications, social media, and event promotion.

In the first two weeks of the 2025 #KLCP, participants studied Khmer, explored Cambodia’s history and art, and cooked traditional dishes. By using their language skills in local communities, they are immersing themselves in Cambodia’s vibrant heritage. #CKS
