The Renters' Rights Bill has finally passed through parliament. Abolishing section 21 is a huge victory for organised tenants everywhere. It will give us more security and more power to fight for wider transformations. We must build on this victory and demand more!

Positive news for renters (despite the bill's many limitations). Still little clarity on the timing of the ban on no-fault evictions though, only that it won't be immediate. Labour first pledged a ban in 2017.

Instead of submitting to the humiliation of asking “Do you hate me?” assert dominance and possibly instigate war by asking “What is wrong with you?”

The "affordable homes" targets already let developers off from building the number of social and council homes we need. Slashing these targets further is a major betrayal of low-income Londoners and will certainly accelerate gentrification and displacement.
