Today I learned: in #rstats you don't need to (manually) create a strata variable to run MAIHDA models...🤯 Makes it potentially easy to quickly and transparently playing with different strata configuration, as well as quickly make predictions through ggeffects

I'm a professor at Tulane University. I was present at the Pro-Palestinian protest on campus. I observed Tulane students engaging in peaceful & nonviolent demonstration. Lift suspensions & drop charges We condemn the violent & disproportionate police response. We stand with our students.

Update: Mohammed had to evacuate in the middle of the night with his children from Rafah. He is now living in a crowded tent because tents cost $1,000 to purchase. He walks 1 km away from where he is staying to find internet access once a day. He feels cut off from the world.

Want to do MAIHDA with longitudinal data? Now you can! doi.org/10.1016/j.socs… Dr. Clare Evans, Daniel Holman, George Leckie and I have extended the original MAIHDA to uncover intersectional inequalities in age trajectories, rather than just means, of an outcome (1/7)

- Gen Z are on a particularly concerning mental health trajectory - Variability between strata seems to be greatest among older cohorts, suggesting accumulation of (dis)advantage over the life course - Baby boomers are the only generation who's mental health improved over time

The CDC can't guarantee that farmworkers who test positive won't lose wages, lose jobs, face stigmatization or deportation. “That starts to sound like a really bad deal for $75, because at the end of the week, they're supposed to feed their families." usatoday.com/story/news/nat…
