Our last day in Barcelona was dedicated to our newest National & Regional Hubs, who joined us for a very productive day of discussion and work. We participated in a “discussion game” dedicated to collaborations within COALESCE, with a focus on our roles times of crises.

Thank you Joana Magalhães, PhD & Science For Change, as well as SISSA Medialab for hosting Science Communication Unit, UWE Bristol over recent days in Barcelona. It was great to have the COALESCE team together, discuss plans for the next few years, and meet new collaborators. I also appreciated the many hugs! 🫶

It's been a non-stop 7 days, home from a busy COALESCE event, welcoming our new MSc #SciComm students Science Communication Unit, UWE Bristol, brilliant presentations from students completing their MSc projects, and last night speaking SidmouthScience Fest. The sea and a pot of tea was just what I needed.

Thanks to Dr Marie Nugent for providing this fascinating Science Communication Unit, UWE Bristol blog post. Marie met some of our team at this year’s Science in Public Research Network UK conference. Marie discusses how the Netflix TV show Supacell resonated with #PPI in sickle cell research:

A bunch of us that are involved in COALESCE project recently realised we all had different preferences for a repository name. As communicators we just couldn't agree! Here's your chance to help us decide by completing a quick poll... What would you call our resources area?

I’m posting here less and less now, and I think that probably means if you’re interested in Science Communication Unit, UWE Bristol, ‘Contemporary Issues in #SciComm’ Bristol Uni Press and other updates, now is a good time to make sure we’re connected on LinkedIn 😔
