I'm guiding a Devon Natural History tour wildlifeworldwide.com/group-tours/wi… in July. Boat trip, Dartmoor, coast, a private tour to Derek Gow's Coombeshead rewilding and breeding project. Based at the Woodbury Park Hotel we'll spend some evenings searching for Beavers on the River Otter.

Without measurements its not really possible to seperate Wheatear subspecies in the UK. 3 richly under coloured Wheatears with browny cheeks feathers and brown tones in the grey back suggest Greenland Wheatear. #Brixham today. Time of year, long wings upright stance coincidental.

A visit from "The great black duck from Hudson's Bay" in Torbay yesterday - a Surf Scoter entertaining the passengers from a distance on one of Mike Langman's excellent cruises with David Saunders.

I just love the intricacies of the great Northern Divers adult full summer plumage sadly not seen often here in S Britain and if so usually at long distance!

I can't help myself with limosa! Here's a few notes on the Cley bird of a couple of days ago, hopefully it's of interest. *Diagnostic features* Red arrows: plain brown tertials & coverts (occasionally L3 will show a summer tertail or greater covert, pattern subdued). 1/5
