Two types of trainers/therapists out there: 1. Those who do education for the ceu’s 2. Those who do education to learn and get better There is some overlap, but you can observe the difference in how they look for courses and behave in the courses.

41 years old. 6’1”. 204lbs. Here’s how I’m dunking these days, after putting in some dedicated work.

“Moving well” is NOT: -being very flexible or mobile -being very strong or powerful -being fast and quick Those are qualities that can help, but the integration of those qualities into robust & complex movement requiring coordination, timing, and smoothness is “moving well”

The term “athletic” has become particularly trendy over the last year in the fitness world. Just slapping the word athletic on a program and doing a couple of jumps and sprints per week doesn’t turn your basic introductory level SBD program an “athletic” program

Lady in gym watched my wife and I workout. Talks to me post workout asking “how do you two look like that? Muscular + graceful” Me: “1. Thanks 2. Genetics and a lifetime of training 3. Strength training and making it hard” she wasn’t doing number 3 due to be worried about injury.

Whole lotta people in the fitness industry using the term “athlete” in their programs… Yet, they never move their feet when training! You are not athletic with fixed feet. You’re a lifter.

S&C is cool w/the idea of traditional cleans & squats to improve performance, yet if u load in any other direction their collective panties twist while they cry “that’s just sport specific & that doesn’t work”. I don’t think there’s a reason to not do resisted lateral stuff.

Instead of waking up to my kiddos after a three week trip, I’m in an hour line at charlotte airport because americanair cancelled my flight home last night. Then they said there were no options to get home today on any flight, yet somehow I could book myself. 🤔 how’s that work?

The Bulgarian clean. Kinda sorta the benefits of traditional cleans, plus the benefits of Bulgarians. Don’t have to clear knees but do have to have kb technique. Added lateral/rotational stability demands. Michael Boyle I wonder how you’d like this

Having big pecs is cooler than a big bench. Being able to dunk is cooler than a big squat. These are not debatable. Undisputed facts. As written in the Bible, the Farmers’ Almanac, and the constitution.
