Governor Stitt vetoes ethics training bill, saying it would create excessive bureaucracy: "It would mandate ethics training for every newly elected or appointed head of a state agency, board, or commission—imposing the extreme penalty of removal from office for noncompliance." 🧵

UPDATE: Gov. Stitt's veto of an ethics-training bill was easily overridden by the House & Senate. It was one of almost 50 veto overrides. The Gov. said the bill threatened agency heads & commissioners who don't "follow and watch some video put out by do-gooder bureaucrats." (1/2)
