Speaking of California Academy of Sciences, we love to see our partner @alisonkestrel featured in this great piece highlighting biodiversity in California. Just in time for the City Nature Challenge Sacramento next week April 28-May 1! 🔎🌱nytimes.com/2023/04/17/us/…

Celebrate our amazing planet with us today! Find the CNC Sacramento Region team at the California Natural Resources Agency building in downtown Sac. Bioblitz with us & California Department of Fish and Wildlife from 3-5 PM in preparation for the @citnatchallenge. The CNC starts THIS Friday 4/26!

ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT until the start of the @citnatchallenge! The team had a blast representing the CNC Sacramento Region with California Department of Fish and Wildlife at the California Natural Resources Agency for Earth Day. We're excited to see what you find in your backyards!

Get ready, Sacramento! Gather your fellow nature nerds, download iNaturalist, & pack some snacks. You'll need them if you go to any of the events in the region! Find details on our website 👉cncsacramento.square.site

The @citnatchallenge starts TOMORROW! Find us at the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden Wyatt Deck at 9 AM to learn how to use iNaturalist & look for wildlife. More info about this & other events during the weekend: cncsacramento.square.site

Let's go, Sacramento! Day 1 is inching closer towards our first 1,000 iNaturalist observations. Get us closer to our 10,000 observation goal! Come join us tomorrow for a fun-filled day documenting biodiversity. Find more details 👉 cncsacramento.square.site

The observation period has officially ended. Thank you for your participation! Final @citnatchallenge results will be announced on May 6. You have until then to add ID's & upload any remaining observations from April 26-29 to iNaturalist. Keep an eye out for a Sacramento recap!

FINAL results are in! Our region's iNaturalist data was included in the 65,000+ total species observed worldwide during this year's Challenge. A huge win for global biodiversity, and biodiversity in our backyard. Thank you for your contributions this year!
