The 2 biggest things an athlete can control is their attitude and their effort. Coaches can't coach that. We can only encourage you to do better about it.

A lot of coaches at the youth and high school level are better recruiters than coaches. That's not to say they can't coach. Now, there are some who do a good job at both, although one is against the rules.

I love coaching kids that want to be coached and are willing to give that effort with a positive attitude but it's something special about getting that kid that hasn't played football in years or the one who has never played and developing them into a good football player.
